What price do you put on an intangible asset?
Books, movies, music etc. These are effectively intangibles, and without getting into the realm of Intellectual property, when somebody buys an intangible, there is no doubt that it has different value to different people, unlike a product, which comes with a specification. Further, I feel the models of Saas and the almost the entire economy of services is a highly volatile but efficient mechanism, but that people like products, in any way possible, compared to just a service. There would be a portion of people thinking otherwise, but then just think about why you go to more off late to "Apollo" than see the local physician down the street. Packaging is half the deal, but the other half better be worth the money!
The factors for the 21st century? If you ask any literate person, he will tell you: Knowledge, Connectivity and Globalization
