The Border Roads and 80:20

Its a great Sunday morning, as i blog this from my flat in Hyderabad.Had a great time with my ex deputy general manager last evening.He is one hell of a performer.

After serving with the Border Roads Organisation for over 2 decades,working in the most inhuman conditions in the North east and the building roads at the border, he finally stepped in

to what he calls...PRIVATE JOB!He is having a hard time, with all the politics and the "back-end!"The mans knowledge is great, his commitment unquestioned.I wish him and his pretty big family well.So we were just talking about something we all think we know, but no body implements.

Getting to the point, i am sure you have learned or heard about the Pareto principle, or the 80:20 rule.It basically means 20 percent of ur efforts or your team or your clients, will give you 80 percent of your output.Copy pasting that to fit your own plans is very important, n really not getting so caught up in the RACE that you forget your own priorities in life, however small, material or insignificant they may be.So go on, take that day off, or a half day, and just sit back n reflect.It should help in overall improved performance, and a much more relaxed state of mind.
